Senior Project Manager, Clinician Advancement - Minnetonka, MN

As a Senior Project Manager for the Center for Clinical Advancement, you'll shift scope definition, risk identification, methodology and resource allocation to a gear you didn't even know you have. You'll take on tough challenges and deliver innovative solutions that help enable our clinicians to make the health care system work better for everyone. Along the way, you'll grow and develop at a pace that energizes your career while you do your life's best work.(sm)   Primary Responsibilities: Define, manage and implement programs and projects in a timely and cost-effective manner, assisting overall department objectives to be met annually Manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously that focus on fostering clinician community, building clinical capability/competence and driving consumer focused care Create and manage timelines for all projects, utilizing organizational resources appropriately Interact with internal customers to gather project requirements and act as liaison between customer and design team to translate strategic priorities into actionable project plans Work with resource managers to drive the identification of the skills, measurable goals, duration and effort required for successful project execution Manage workflow and implementation of projects and programs Develop, communicate and implement program/project risk/issue management plans and strategies (e.g., mitigation, avoidance, transfer, acceptance) Set up recurring status meetings with the business, field questions from the business, anticipate issues and act proactively to address issues Manage recurring status updates with immediate team and strategy owners to provide updates, determine impacts to other initiatives and mitigate risk Generate detailed project reports (including program charters, Statement of Work, critical path impact, dependencies, milestones, resources, data collection plans, cost, work breakdown structures, etc.) and run project status meetings Ensure workflow progresses efficiently and projects/staff are organized when priorities shift Gather and update project materials, complete budgeting, forecasting, project documentation, business flows, evaluation of outcomes metrics, and lessons learned documents Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and Project Management Body of Knowledge methodologies Analyze data and evaluate the feasibility, cost benefit and effectiveness of operational programs Prepare reports, correspondence and oral presentations to document and communicate progress, findings and outcomes of analysis and projects to internal teams, committees and senior leadership Improve processes to optimize performance and value over time Collaborate in a matrix environment across cross-functional teamsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree 4+ years of strategic, tactical and hands-on project management experience 4+ years of experience in tracking, planning programs and projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions Desire to simultaneously plan and prioritize at a high level while also completing project tasks, deliverables and administrative details Advanced proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects, coordinating with multiple leaders to deliver successful results Proven experience and success in all areas of the project management lifecycle Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or a healthcare field Intermediate (or higher) proficiency with Project, Web tools, SharePoint, Visio  Six Sigma Green Belt     Careers at UnitedHealth Group.
