Senior Digital Programme Manager, Group Insurance - HSBC Insurance

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Digital Programme Manager, Group Insurance. Principal responsibilities
  • Primarily responsible for the delivery of Programmes and Projects within the Digital Portfolio as approved in the Insurance Order Book.
  • Effectively maintain the established governance of programs and where required improve the same through regular reviews. Deliver step change in operational performance, including cost, service levels, and customer satisfaction, through successful initiation and delivery of major change projects and programmes fully aligned with global directions, organizational strategy and regional priorities
  • Validate project Terms of Reference, establish a project governance and produce a well-defined project plan, identifying the key milestones and assigning responsibilities and resources
  • Define success measures and metrics. Identify problems and implements solutions, making decisions based on sound rational judgment. Capture project learning points
  • Vendor identification, contracting and execution are consistently conducted within risk appetite.
  • Select product and services as per the project needs. Procure products while keeping the optimum balance between cost and product quality.
  • Manage external vendors and contracts towards minimizing the costs to company, Risks of Fraud, and other risks like not meeting delivery time, scope, quality objectives, which in turn may impact the program of project deliverables.
  • Design and implement consistent and appropriate communication model through Meeting and Workshop Management Facilitation.
  • Ability to design the governance around all program and project related communications, minutes to all levels
  • Manage the interaction and communications with other programs and dependencies. Ability to appropriately communicate across all stakeholders.

  • ​University Degree Holder
  • Proven programme management skills and experience of managing several Digital programmes concurrently within the Financial Institution or Insurance industry
  • Excellent knowledge of the change process, project lifecycle and consulting tools and techniques, reengineering methodologies
  • Highly developed conceptual skills, including business models, organizational design, and analytical skills, including business performance, market and competitive dynamics to craft, execute, and oversee hypothesis driven analysis
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and negotiating skill.
  • Strong Business and Financial Acumens
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving ability
  • Sound judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems
  • Experience of managing resources using appropriate communication, delegation and planning skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead people, employing appropriate management styles
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, other languages are an advantage
