RN - Quality Management Coordinator

Serving Merced County Westside area with 48 care beds, the facility is part of Memorial Hospitals Association and Sutter Health, a not-for-profit organization that exists to maintain and improve the health status of citizens in its geographic area. Memorial Hospital Los Banos provides and promotes effective inpatient and outpatient health care services including 24-hour Emergency Care, Rural Health Clinic, Surgery, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Diagnostics Imaging, and Intensive Care Unit and Physical Therapy.

Under the director of the Quality Director, coordinates the activities associated with quality improvement, patient safety and risk management activities throughout Memorial Hospital Los Banos, utilizing the organization's performance improvement processes. Assumes a facilitator role with all disciplines to evaluate, formulate improvement plans, and implement performance improvement efforts to achieve optimal clinical quality and safety processes and outcomes.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current California Registered Nurse License Required.
  • A minimum of 4 years recent acute hospital experience required.
  • At least 1 year of experience, with demonstrated leadership and/or experience in education, quality, risk or safety.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in facilitation/leading or participation in continuous Quality Improvement teams desired.
  • Broad clinical experience in varied settings of care desired.
  • Advanced certification in a clinical area is preferred
  • Certified Professional in Health Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
SKILLS and Knowledge:
  • Ability to function independently and maintain effective working relationship with others.
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills required
  • Ability to read, write hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Application: Word, Excel, Power point, and Access.
