Responsible for ensuring the highest level of care is being provided to PAMF patients by providing the appropriate orientation and training to all levels. As a member of the leadership team, must function independently to identify problems and solutions, report to management and implement approved plan to correct deficiencies and/or realize improvements. Monitor staff competence and professionalism and provide necessary training to ensure appropriate skill level.
Provides education and professional development training for staff and/or patients
Ensures that documentation of staff development, training and assessments are completed
Ensures compliance with Regulatory Agency requirements by development of orientation and educational programs to train new staff and for new procedures, cross train staff, identify correct deficiencies
Follows the commitment to excellence and treats patients, families, visitors and each other with courtesy, dignity, respect and professionalism
Demonstrate knowledge of the basic principles of education and staff development theory.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required, strong computer and Internet knowledge required.
Ability to support effectiveness of groups and teams through group facilitation and education.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Current California RN license
Valid American Heart Association BLS/CPR certificate
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Experience in curriculum development and teaching/learning methods preferred
MS in Nursing or Education strongly preferred
Experience in management or leadership in the clinical area
Experience in the role of educator, teacher and preceptor in the clinical arena
