And you'll do your life's best work.(sm)   The role of the Medical Records Team Supervisor is to oversee a team of medical records staff.   Primary Responsibilities: ­Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities for the Medical Records department Responsible for overseeing the tracking and indexing of electronic medical records Implements and ensures strict adherence to the Privacy Act of 1974 Ensures requests for medical records (hardcopy/electronic) are processed promptly and efficiently.  For hardcopy medical records, the Medical Records Supervisor will ensure a 48 hour turnaround time for returned delivery of records to satisfy contractual obligations Interacts with other MSLA-VA departmental team members regarding requests for medical records Ensures department meets or exceeds productivity goals Analyze staff productivity, performance, and quality Provide reports to show progress, and action plans with due dates to improve outcomes Coaches, mentors, and trains staff, as well as evaluates staff performance Interpret, enhance and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff Resolve problems and make changes to accommodate changing priorities and needs Recommend improvements to process flows, processes and procedures Conduct regular meetings with staff to discuss performance, engagement and address issues All other duties assigned by ManagementRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 2+ years of directly managing and leading staff 2+ years of experience working with medical and diagnostic reports 2+ years of experience working with document imaging technology software Preferred Qualifications: Federal Government Security Clearance Experience working with government contracts Experience managing remote staff Able to lead, manage, direct and motivate staff and possess the skills to delegate and supervise subordinates Able to work independently, and in conjunction with team members at all levels of the organization Skilled in establishing effective interpersonal relationships Able to prioritize workload under aggressive timelines while managing multiple projects and adapt to a changing business environment Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized and adaptable Excellent public speaking and presentation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to follow routine procedures consistently and efficiently Able to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Able to consistently follow through Proficient in general computer use and Microsoft Office Suite If the hired individual resides in Florida (office based or telecommuting) this position requires the AHCA Level II background check (fingerprinting) by the State of Florida for all clinicians that have direct face to face contact with members OR employees who will have access to confidential patient data and will require renewal every five years.   Careers with MSLA.
