This position will also provide an opportunity to develop global healthcare industry expertise across a wide variety of businesses.   UnitedHealth Group’s Corporate Development team is like no other.  Here are just a few things to look forward to as a part of the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team for the nation’s largest Managed Care Organization (MCO). Work with an extremely active team of nearly twenty individuals tasked with evaluating upwards of 100 target companies every year. Support the acquisition of companies across the entire organization, including Optum and UnitedHealthcare, with valuations ranging from $1 million to $15 billion. Complete financial and valuation analyses that support the purchase price we ultimately pay for an acquisition target, as well as coordinate and execute the overall M&A process. Receive access to the senior most individuals within the organization and have an opportunity to build relationships with and learn from these key decision makers. Coordinate and execute various special projects with executive and business senior leadership, primarily related to the evaluation of potential growth opportunities. **This full-time position will be available starting in Summer 2018**   **UnitedHealth Group is not able to offer visa sponsorship now or in the future for this position**     Primary Responsibilities: Preparing and analyzing financial models Researching M&A candidates, including qualitative, financial and valuation analyses Organizing and conducting due diligence on potential acquisition targets Working as a key liaison to business segments, transaction advisors and acquisition targets Executing special projects (e.g., industry research, strategic planning, new business initiatives)Required Qualifications: Currently in final year of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, finance, accounting, business administration or related field from an accredited college / university or obtained degree within the last 24 months; coursework to obtain degree must be completed prior to start of employment. Degree must be awarded and verified within 6-8 weeks following the commencement date at your school Minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, 3.75 or above preferred Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)   UnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
