Responsible for conducting HIV counseling, testing and referral services with specified target population. Provides pre and post testing counseling for all clients who decide to be HIV tested. Performs regular quality indicator tests to ensure accuracy of test. Makes appropriate referrals for follow up based on all test results. Encourages all clients to share information about their partners and have them be tested. Maintains accurate and current documentation for all clients. Responsible for testing specific number of individuals in community per month. ( Goal indicated by grantee). Identifies new testing sites within the community to maintain and develop new collaborative agreements. Maintains a rapport with collaborating agencies and their staff members. Maintains certification for testing and is up to date on all NJDHHS trainings. Complies with unit and departmental scheduling guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.

Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Must be willing to travel into community. Must uphold NJ HIV Counseling and testing number. Bilingual Preferred.
