Job Description:The System Design Engineer will analyze business and technical requirements and apply technical and analytical skills to developing appropriate solutions and designs for the following applications:
Skills based routing, vectoring and predictive call delivery
Avaya Integrated Management Site Administrator
Avaya suite of tools and Applications CMS, One X *, Agent/Communicator, DMCC and PDS
Avaya/Cisco Call Management Systems ; VoIP monitoring tools; Quality Monitoring tools; IP LAN and WAN for transport of VoIP communication/SIP
Designing, engineering, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, supporting conferences, monitoring, facilitating, reporting, documenting, training, working with A/V vendors, and preventative maintenance
Regression testing on all updates/service packs for all Applications in development and pre-production environmentResponsibilities:Requires competency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership.
Able to design, build and implement call routing solutions from user requirements and provide appropriate documentation
Provide oversight to our AV integrators, partners and employees on video conferencing projects
Participates in and/or leads projects as the primary engineering resource
Performs complex tasks, decision making and in depth analysis with minimal direction
Provides client/peer training on call routing technologies as needed
Must be able to continuously prioritize activities in a dynamic landscape
Performing duties in the most efficient and cost effective manner possibleQualifications:Minimum required
Depth of experience within the following areas:
o Avaya Orchestration Designer (POM)
o ccXML- outbound, complex call control, call recording, conferencing, call redirection, etc.)
o Voice User Design (VUI)/ call flow/work flow
o SIP deployments (versus H.323/CTI only)
Knowledge of transport protocols such as H.320, H264, H.323, H.248 and SIP required
Working knowledge of Polycom video endpoints
Experience with hosted conferencing solutions a and webcast/video streaming solutions a plus
Ability to effectively transfer knowledge to team members and other work groups as a subject matter expert. (SME)
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously from various business partners, adhere to design specifications and meet aggressive deadlines
Performs complex tasks, decision making and in depth analysis with minimal directionDesired
Experience with large enterprise IP networks and related networking equipment also preferredEducation
Bachelor's degree in technology or 5 years working experience
License or certification
Certifications in related Avaya, Cisco, Microsoft technology strongly preferred CCNA, Tandberg, Polycom, Radvision, Cisco Telepresence, MCSE, ITIL certifications strongly preferredMinimum Qualifications:General/Physical Requirements
