The Community Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Program Manager provides overall leadership, direction and management on a 24 hour basis. The Community NICU Program Manager works in close collaboration with the NICU Medical Director, Maternal Child Health Nurse Manager and the Director of Patient Care Services. The Community NICU Program Manager contributes to the goals of the organization by developing and controlling operational and capital budgets; solving potential and real problems that impede safe patient care; developing the personnel, physical environment, and organizational systems needed to provide competitive and cost-effective services; acting as a liaison and public-relations representative other Hospital Departments and the community; controlling inventory of equipment and supplies for the services, and is responsible for accomplishments of these goals by MMC.
Licensure and Certification
California Registered Nurse License - required
BLS for Healthcare provider - required
NRP - required
Certified Neonatal RN - preferred
Bachelor's Degree with minimum of five years of current clinical experience in a NICU related position required or a Master's degree with two years current clinical experience in a NICU related position.
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated clinical experience in the appropriate area of specialty neonatal experience required.
2-3 years of progressive management and director level responsibility is highly preferred
Proven experience at a leadership/management level.
