The primary purpose of thisposition is to assist the Administrator in the planning, organizing, anddirecting of patient care services in accordance with current standards and regulationsso that the highest degree of quality care will be maintained at alltimes. The Clinical Manager directspatient assignments, staff scheduling, coordination of referrals , patientvisit volume distributions, and assists in meeting financial targets byeffectively managing utilization, productivity, personnel and supplies. TheClinical Manager ensures adherence to clinical best practices to promoteoptimal patient outcomes and patient experience and ensures that patient needsare continually assessed through development, implementation, and updates tothe individualized plan of care in coordination with the Case Manager. The Clinical Manager participates, asnecessary, in team meetings and represents clinical staff on appropriatecommittees and the agency to the community.
The Clinical Manager isresponsible for the oversight of a clinical multi-disciplinary team ofRegistered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Physical Therapists, PhysicalTherapy Assistants, Occupational therapists, Speech Language Pathologists,Occupational Therapists, Medical Social Workers and Home Health Aides, andmanages an active patient census of approximately 200 patients.
The Clinical Managersupervises, supports, and educates staff at the point of service in the field.The Clinical Manager supports an efficient and accurate revenue cycle byenhancing capture of appropriate revenue and managing the flow of documentationwithin their department. The Clinical Manager may provide direct patient carein times of high census and/or for emergent need and takes on other managerialtasks and projects as assigned by Administrator.
