The Diagnostic Imaging Clerical Lead leads the daily operations of a defined area of imaging support services across multiple campuses.
Directs and implements policies and procedures in a defined area and performs the following functions relating to staff: workflow coordination; staffing & scheduling; participates in evaluations, hiring, discipline and retention of staff.
May be required to train / precept students and new techs.
Performs clerical support tasks in areas of defined expertise. Maintains required competencies.
Promotes communication and cooperation within the department and with other areas.
Serves as department liaison to other areas in the facility.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent is required.
Experience in a healthcare setting and computer use is required.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology is desired. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, patients and families both verbally and in writing.
Requires critical thinking skill, decisive judgment and the ability to work under supervision or with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a rapidly changing and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations.
